Brady Penang Solves Customer Issue to get New Business

After solving a major issue for a customer, Brady Penang has recently won a new business with APM, a seat cover manufacturer supporting the OEM Perodua - Malaysia’s largest car manufacturer.

Eddie Ong, the Strategic Account Manager, Automotive worked with APM on an issue they identified with their existing labels using PET material. APM was seeing the labels tear off after the sewing process and was looking to solve the tearing issue without impacting their existing production process and sewing machine settings.

With the collective efforts from Penang Key Account Manager, KW Chia and the Engineering Team, Eddie proposed that APM try the B-499 Polyamide Coated Nylon Cloth Solution. APM was happy with the solution and that Brady was TS16949 certified (Automotive Quality Management System) and awarded their business to Brady Penang. The expected yearly volume is ~480K pcs of passenger car seat cover label.

Besides this project, the team is also working on few other automotive relevant projects such as a sun visor label, ECU Box label, and air pump label.

This example shows that there's always an advantage to listening to our customer’s needs and putting our customer’s experience at the center. Thank you Sin Yi Chuay for sharing this great customer experience!
